Office 2013 is supposed to work with Modern Authentication, so I suspect it's Win 8.1 that is the issue.įor anyone interested (or NOT), I just ran into the same problem on my wife's computer after installing a fresh Win 10 on an SSD. The same steps on a Win 8.1 computer running Office 2013 do not work. It may work with only EnableADAL and not the Version key, but I am leaving well enough alone. After both of those were set, I was able to add the account to Outlook 2016 on Win 10. I created the registry key for 'EnableADAL' and set it to 1, and set the 'Version' key to 1.
